Reading with your child promotes reading, vocabulary, and comprehension. Talk with your child about the books you read together. Talk about the pictures and illustrations. Ask your child if s/he can guess what happens next. Explore any new words that come up in the text. The more time you spend reading with your child and talking about what you read, the more your child will learn!
